About DAFI Program
The DAFI Scholarship program is administered by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and implemented by Inspire Pakistan since 2015 throughout Pakistan. It stands as a beacon of hope for refugees seeking to pursue tertiary education in Pakistan. DAFI, short for the Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative, is designed to empower refugees throughout the world by providing them with the means to access tertiary education and develop the skills necessary for rebuilding their lives. This initiative extends its support to refugees by offering scholarships that cover tuition fees, living expenses, capacity building, and employability skills through the development of soft skills, educational visits, and additional support for academic materials. By facilitating access to education, the DAFI Scholarship program not only fosters personal development but also contributes to the long-term socio-economic integration of refugees into their host communities. This initiative recognizes the transformative power of education in empowering individuals to overcome the challenges posed by displacement and build a brighter future.
